Eliot Ness the Rise and Fall of an American Hero by Douglas Perry is a good book and an interesting one. It covers his time in Cleveland as well. Of course people are more interested in the Chicago years. The book doesn’t shy away from Ness’ flaws.
Max Allan Collins wrote novels about Ness’ time in Cleveland and they are available as e-books. I have one, the Dark City, and maybe I’ll read it next month. I remember tose novels being pretty good.
Brad Parks had another good book in the Player. This is his latest Carter Ross novel. Carter is a reporter for a newspaper in Newark, New Jersey. This time Carter is investigsting mysetious diseases and corrupt business. This is a good series.
Terry Brooks’ latest book has been pushed back to June.
