The Bourne Ultimatum re-watched

I took a break from re-watching the Bourne movies.  I finished up with re-watching the Bourne Ultimatum this week.  I really enjoyed re-watching the series and I think I appreciate the series more. Maybe the Adjustment Bureau is not my favorite Matt Damon movie.

The Bourne Ultimatum is the last Jason Bourne movie with Matt Damon, at least so far.  It is very good and if it turns out to be Damon’s last Bourne movie, it is a good ending point.  Reports have surfaced of a  fifth Bourne movie and that Damon could be in it.

In this one Jason Bourne is coming to America to discover the remaining pieces of his past.  He is prompted to do this by the murder of a British reporter.  The reporter had found out about Bourne, Treadstone, and Blackbriar.

Matt Damn is really good in this role.  I really think it is his best known/most popular role.  As much as I liked Jeremy Renner in the Bourne Legacy,  Damon is better.

It was nice to see Julia Stiles again, even if she vanishes during the last half hour of the film.  Her character doesn’t have a romance with Bourne but since his girlfriend was murdered in the last movie, he probably was not up for a romance.  Joan Allen, David Strathain, Albert Finney, and Scott Glenn offer good supporting performances.
