Steve Tyrell

Steve Tyrell is a singer of  standards.  Standards are the type of songs that Frank Sintra and Tony Bennet sang (and still sing in Bennet’s case).  Steve sang “the Way you look tonight” in Steve Martin’s Father of the Bride and I think he contributed a song to the sequel.  Steve is also a record producer and I think he produced one of Rod Stewart’s cds of standards.

Steve’s CDs include (they’re all good)

  • a New Standard
  • Standard Time
  • Songs of Sinatra (possibly his best CD)
  • the Disney Standards
  • This Time of Year (his Christmas CD)
  • This Guy’s in Love

some of the songs he has recorded include

  • This Guy’s in Love with you
  • Baby it’s cold outside
  • Georgia on My Mind
  • As Time Goes By
  • I’ll Be Seeing You

His latest CD, I’ll Take Romance, comes out on Febuary 7th.  This will be a collection of love songs and it will include the Etta James classic At Last.
